I seen an adapter just the other day that is high in the truck bed like a 5th wheel hitch but has a receiver cup on top to receive the ball that is attached to the pin on the 5th wheel and only looks to be about 4-6 inches long, for the piece that bolts to the RV keeping the leverage point low. Its similar to the Andersen but ball is attached to the rv and the receiver is cupped on top of the hitch, just the reverse of the Andersen.
