for some reason, the recent posts didn't show up until after I posted my last comment.
So anyway, I'll have to get an adapter and sliding hitch. I have a 2002 Fleetwood Prowler that is boxlike in the front. The two I found were the Demco and PullRite brands.
It looks like I need to do some measuring, both height and length to see what size would fit. I guess I would pull my truck under the hitch pin and measure from the bed to the pin? How would I measure how much slide I could have?
Also, has anybody ever taken off a gooseneck adapter? I watched a video on how to put one on and assuming it's just the reverse of that. What get me is how many men and boys is it going to take to turn that sleeve once it has been tightened down on that threaded collar which has been pressed down on the spacers.
I hope I'm not biting off more that I can chew.
