5ver registration renewal pain.....

In Oregon (pronounced Orygun) fees are assessed by the foot and good for two years. IIRC, our Arctic Fox 29-5T is about $270 for two years.

that's the way it is in Montana, also. PERMANENT registration on ALL trailers, regardless of size or type.
Boats, too.
Motorcycles (including street-legal ATVs), too.
also, ANY vehicle 11 years old or older. That's right, I NEVER have to renew the registration on our motorhome!

When we lived on Long Island the tags for 5er was $220 a year ant the dually $175 2years, moved to Tn. and 5er tags $14.50 a year and dually $24.00 a year. But I really miss LI. No salt in he water down here.

Virginia lets you get permanent, one-time fee plates for RV's now. Don't remember what it was - I think around $75 - but there's no renewal.

After we moved out of Cali they were still trying to bill us for a couple of years. Had to send em a copy of our Idaho registration.

I agree with the poster that indicates some of
it is smoke and mirrors... most have some version
of lower/higher property tax, sales tax, estate taxes,
municipal fees, environmental add-ons, gas taxes, pension
taxes, tax on taxes (when late) , sm.business/profit tax, etc.

... they get it one way or another.

I think we should tax all the snow-birders !!! (I kid, I kid).

when visiting... and pay all the exisiting sales, gas tax etc.
The tourist revenue for Az. is huge...
some localities doubling in size during the peak migration.

Our 5er cost $240 to register. 2008 Jayco Superlite. I do miss the permanent tags on our pop up. No property tax here.

CO. our "11" Bighorn was $1350 a year for two years and went way down to $1000 the third year.Sold it. Sig unit is about $200.

Here in the great state of Taxafornia, our 2013 class A renewal came to $ 846.00 for 1-year. And, California still has the worst roads in America!!
