Original pin box
The Reese Goose Box is not the standard add on converter. It was designed as a pin box. The internal air bag and shocks smooth the ride as any other air ride replacement pin box.
I'm not trying to convert anyone to my way of thinking but sharing to show other options. Once I'm to my location and set up I can roll my ball and my pickup is available to go do other things. My truck came with the gooseneck hitch and I could have spent $1000 for the Goose Box or the same amount on a standard 5th wheel hitch for the bed. For me this was my best option. We do not travel much. Normally from the storage lot to the site for a week or so and back into storage. Have pulled it from Indiana to Connecticut on vacation and it worked well. Before buying I spoke to Heartland, Lippert and my RV dealer.
