- Mile_HighExplorerNot sure what the difference would be; putting a hydraulic jack underneath, or using the levelers?
I've changed a tire with mine, but I've also had shops that refuse to use it. One says it puts too much pressure on the jacks and they start leaking - "huh?" Oh well, he can drag his jacks round under there if he wants.
I do know that when the wheels come off the ground, the spring straps that hold the leaves together will sometimes spread open and I have to get under them and tighten them. - Dutch___DiExplorerI don't see why it wouldn't. Our 4 point Big Foot system lifts ours off the ground just fine. We only do it when when changing a tire of when Dutch is lubing the brakes. It makes the job so much easier. Hugs, Di

I know your not suppose to ------ but will it lift the trailer if I need to change a tire? A new trailer we are looking at has them.
Has anyone tried it.
thanks
bigdon68 - kakampersExplorerNo problem...have used it many times to change tires, etc. As for twisting the frame...not gonna happen. Level up is designed so that all legs work in unison keeping the frame "flat and square" at all times. If you lift one side the other drops keeping everything straight...it will "time out" once the legs over extend.
- topjimmyExploreryep i have done it Many times on my 2012 with level up and my 2015 as well NO PROBLEM,Love the level up!
- mike1polesExplorerAlmost four years ago Lippert changed out our axles, actually two times and another time to try to service the axles (after that fascicle, we changed to MOR/Rdye IS system). Every time, Lippert tech's used the LevelUp to change them out or to work on them!! Lippert manufactures the LevelUp, and we had it installed at their service center, just before we had problems with our axles.
Because of health issues, we have had to be in one place for almost 2 years, (soon to change and we can get back on the road, LOL). I have always setup our 5th wheel with all wheels off the ground, with no problems, (believe it or not, ours is really more stable). Our LevelUp has never bled off, and I have measured time and again on all six jacks many times. Where we have been setup since in April 2014, none of the jacks have bled off at all. :)
To person that posted about the LevelUp bleeding off, you need to call Lippert warranty, ASAP.
Hope this helps and God bless,
Mike - VoodooMedicineMExplorerCedar Creek says I can do that.

One of the Original Adds for the Level-up System, prior to the Lippert buy out, listed the ability to change a tire as a feature. Then the Legal Eagles got involved and nixed that part from the adds. Liability Issues if you were to crawl under and for some reason it failed and crushed you.
Use common sense and you'll have no problem.
yep, when I needed tire work on my class A I offered to save them some trouble and jack it up myself, and they politely refused and brought out their own equipment.

In the park we are in right now our neighbor just bought a new Bighorn with the 6 point system. He set it up a week ago and to level one side had the wheels off the ground. Might be something wrong with his because if keep settling back to the ground. Yesterday he leveled it back and added some boards under the tires.
Time to contact the factory and have some warranty service done. It shouldn't leak down. Several times when mine got finished auto leveling tires have been off the ground but it never moved.
I took mine to the tire dealer for new tires and lifted it in the pk lot so they could do all 4 at once. They marveled. IIRC the rears are rated for 8k ea and the fronts 14k, that's 60k of lifting for a 15k trailer. - Traveler_IIExplorerIn the park we are in right now our neighbor just bought a new Bighorn with the 6 point system.
