We always put the system in "manual" mode, then lower the front jacks (landing gear)and at least begin to take the weight off the hitch. Then I release the hitch. Sometimes I have to move slightly forward or backward to relieve the pressure on the jaws before it will allow me to release the hitch. After it is released and the electrics are unplugged, I pull the truck forward clear of the bed. THEN I select autolevel and let the system do its thing. Works every time. I really like the Level-Up system.
