I seriously doubt even the dolly-style hitch would work on a truck with an 8" lift, since it attaches at 3 points; the center receiver and both frame rails. You'd have to drop all 3 attachment points to get the dolly level and the bracing that would take would be massive. Hell, even towing a bumper pull with an 8-10" drop hitch is scary enough. Bet a decent hitch insert would be 50 lbs, or better, and the hitch itself would likely need extra bracing to take the torque of that drop.
