I have been told that you need a class "A" drivers licence to tow a 5th wheel in some US. states. I will be traveling in the US. this summer. What states require this licence or do I need it if I am Canadian Tourist. Thanks.
To my knowledge in California , a class "A" is only required if you are double towing. I don't know about other states. Personally, I wouldn't spend the time or money to get the class "A" license. I travel all over the south western states every year and have never been stopped and asked to show a class "A" license. I tow a 34 ft. 5th wheel. Enjoy your trip:)
