It does have one feature however which makes me wish I still was using my Tekonsha Prodigy.
It seems the Ford version is well integrated into the truck electronics and one feature monitors the speedometer. When the speeds drops down lower than 10MPH the Ford model Brake controller does not send braking signals to the trailer electric brakes when using the brake pedal. This is really evident when stopped at a incline at a stop sign. Only the truck brakes are applied when pressing down on the brake pedal. I always liked the idea the trailer brakes were locked down as well.
There is a benefit to this design. When caught in traffic and sitting at long traffic lights with the brakes on to keep from creeping, you're not sending current through the trailer brake magnets for long periods of time, nor (in the case of electric over hydraulic disc brakes) are you sitting there with the hydraulic pump running for extended periods to apply the trailer brakes.
