A little winter camping..

We just got back from a weekend camping trip near our home here in Georgia. The weather finally cooperated for a great time with a couple of other friends and their campers. Here is a pick of the site and the view out of site to the front.

And here is a pic of the kids walking the fur kids.

  • Deb, It's hotter than heck here today at Old Town. Over 80 degrees all day with bright hot sun and we had to run the A/C as a fan did little good with the very high humidity. We don't like A/C at all but really didn't have a choice!
  • Looks awesome - and a lot warmer than when we camped near Macon 1/27/14 in 30-degree temps!!

Where were you camping? Near Watkinsville perhaps?

It is Fort Yargo State Park. Actually not very far at all from Watkinsville. Maybe 15 miles.
  • We caught some cold weather when we passed through IN at the end of October. its been years since we've seen snow. I wouldn't mind seeing some for a week or so but not all the time. Just enough to appreciate the warmth of SE FL.
  • Another reason to move to a more southern climate. It's supposed to be in the single digits here tomorrow morning.
