In BC Canada you require a house trailer endorsement if pulling an RV over 10000 pounds GVW. (Not GVWR). This only applys to BC drivers. Out of province drivers are exempt. There is a written test and a 45 minute practical exam some of which includes driving. Excellent content. I recommend it for clients even with smaller units.
