When I purchased my 2011 Chevy it increased the GVWR of our truck from 9900 lbs to 11,600 lbs. Our combined GVWR is now 23,942. Last time on the scales had gross weight of 20,180 lbs.
Had a friend that upgraded to a 2011 chevy dually and a 40 foot triple axle toy hauler. Combined GVWR of about 30,000 lbs. Of course the RV dealer did not mention this to him. He found out after he purchased the new rigs. Left it parked until He and his wife got a NY state class R license. Required a new drivers exam pulling the rig through town, on the highway and parking it.
MD has the 26001 requirement as well
