- 94-D2ExplorerIt will run it with a high start capacitor but with the 2200 it is at the top end of its capability and would not recommend that. That generator will not last long because it is over working. I have a Coleman Mach 8 15,000 btu with a high start capacitor. Runs hard with the 2200, perfect with a second in tandem.

If your talking about a Hard Start Capacitor I use a Supco spp6.
Will it allow a 2,200 watt genny to power a 15.3 AC? I thought only the polar cubs could run on the 2,200 watt generator. - ksg5000ExplorerIf your talking about a Hard Start Capacitor I use a Supco spp6.
- MNRonExplorerI don’t have it, but believe the MicroAir Easystart kit on Amazon to be the “best” but not cheap ($300). Not sure that that will guarantee you can run your AC on a 2K genny though, especially if at any altitude.

And most modern a/C now have remote controls. So it's easy as you get where you can turn it on or off from your bed.
You need to determine to requirement to cool off your RV to be able to know the rating of your a/c if it matches that of your genny.
