I have a dometic air conditioner in our 2015 grand design that runs great until it reaches desired temp. Then it shuts off but fan continues to run, however, as temp goes up it will not restart cooling unless we turn the unit off and restart. I do not have a manual for it. I did read the manual for the thermostat although I didn't learn much. Thanks for any help.

Which model. There are issues with the new blizzard nxt freezing and leaking into the interior.

Is it on "auto " cool. If on "low" cool some models the faun continues.

It is a duotherm. I will search for a manual, thanks. I was given manuals for everything, down to the fire extinguisher but not the ac.

Change the fan setting to "auto". This will stop the fan when the compressor stops and then start it when compressor restarts. See what this does.

See if the same problem exists when running the AC on high fan, as opposed to low fan OR Auto.
I have the same problem, and changed the thermostat. That didn't help.
So now we just keep it on High fan with no problems

If it is still under warranty I would call Dometic. They will probably replace. Both of mine had to be replaced on my 2015.

Digital thermostat,pretty basic...fan, cool, heat on one side and temp up down on other. I was thinking the same thing.

You did not indicate if you had a digital or analog thermostat.

Seems more like a thermostat or control box issue.

My freeze switch sensor was causing the same issue. Simply unplugging it, I was able to confirm.

Never mind, You said it reached desired temps. Mine was short cycling. I read it wrong.
