In my opinion I think it should be impossible to drive off from a "high hitch" On mine the thingy that the king pin is attached to would be a mile higher than the surface of the fifth wheel in the bed. :h
THe Butch services latch is an economical option, but is is far from foolproof because it has to be manually set to be effective. Drops are caused by operator error. If you forget how to hook up your rig properly, will you remember to attach the pin on the Butch's bedsaver?
Maybe maybe not!
The Blue OX is foolproof nothing to set . It will work automatically once installed.
