- SpoiledRottenExplorerI pulled the mattress and the supporting platform and found the mechanism. I'm still not sure what brand it is, but I'm sure it's in the papers somewhere. I only found adjustment bolts on the "foot" end of the slide near the motor. It "appears" that the slide pivots and the adjustment is all done on the motor end of the slide. I've got some pics so you can see what I'm looking at.
As you can see, foot end of the slide is resting totally at the top of the adjustment slot.
So, going by the instruction in the previous posts, I'll loosen the bolts in the pic, jack up the slide on the outside and then retighted the bolts?.?.? - SpoiledRottenExplorerThanks for the links OB, and thanks for posting pics of your operation, billmac. Both are greatly appreciated and very helpful. I have a good idea of what needs to be searched for now. Mine is a king size slide so it has even more weight on it.
- billmacExplorerMy 2005 Lippert king bed slide has required adjustment a couple of times. (Lippert did not have a manual on-line for the design of my slide.) Upon close examination, I could see behind the large bolts were slotted openings for adjustment. I used two jacks to support the slide and loosened the bolts. Then raised the slide out and tightened the bolts. I have learned that the adjustment bolts need to be super tight or the slide will simply slip down again. I don't know how to do it but this procedure worked for me twice.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIIF you have a Lippert Slide out you can find info here.....LINK
IF not Lippert.....contact MFG. and get service manual for your slide out.
Bedroom slide......flush floor so check for swollen wood of slideout floor or broken rollers. Probbaly have to remove panel in bottom of bed storage area to access mechanism & frame
Don't know why LINK is posting so weird but it works
