- okramanExplorerWe like the 1/2 bath. Really convenient with guest, whether they are overnight or a for a few hours. We have a single sewer connection, so that is not a issue for us. We often camp for a week or more, the 100 gallon black tank capacity is nice.

Yes we are leaning toward having the 1/2 bath as a plus with two girls plus a friend once in awhile. Just will have to buy some additional sewer lines and some fittings.

You know I have all those connections. I've decided that it is easier to just move the hose from the front connection to the rear connections vs. getting out all the hoses and connections.
I'm basically a weekend warrior.
We're never going to fill the black tank on an average outing. We dump gray as needed.
If I were full timing or did more week long trips then using the 2nd 1/2 bath would be more worthwhile. But for a 2-3 day weekend I see no point in have 2-1/4 full black tanks.
I understand I'm in the minority on this, but the additional dumping is a deal breaker for me. - Michelle_SExplorer IIIcheck different MFRs as some require two sewer hookups while others just us one. Dual hookups can be a real PITA.

Thanks for the sewer hose information, yes I do all the dumping and hook for the sewer lines so I still think it will be a benefit to have the 1/2 bath. - ependydadExplorer

Looks like having two kids and possible a friend with the half bath will be a good idea.
When the kids are capable of dumping their own tank it is a good idea. If you have to dump and maintain the additional tank, The additional 1/2 bath will just add to your workload with very little return.
Heh, different strokes for different folks- I do all of the dumping and the extra "work" of the 1/2-bath is negligible for me. I love having it and would always want it so long as there are kids/extras involved. - sorenExplorerWith kids and guests in the mix, I guess it might make sense. While looking for a newer motorhome, we avoided it. I really like how one of my retired buddies describes his fifth wheel. "It comes with a capacity rating. It holds six people for drinks, four for dinner, and two in bed, and I'm careful not to overload it"
