Advantages or Disadvantages of half bath

I have a similar floor plan and I consider the additional 1/2 bath a huge negative.
The idea seems good however dealing with the 2nd pair of tanks is more trouble than it's worth. Instead of having a reasonably full tank to dump. You have 2-1/2 empty tanks to dump.
The additional bath is convenient when the kids bring friends but in general it has become a waste of space. I don't allow the kids to use it because I don't want to dump the tanks. (which have very little in them).
Our 1/2 bath has slowly become a storage closet/pantry!
If I could do it again. I would avoid the 1/2 bath.Keep in mind I have a 5 man crew. If we traveled with more people or full timed the 1/2 bath maybe more worthwhile. As a weekend warrior I find the 1/2 bath a poor use of space
