All steel 236/85/R16 LRF

Looking for an all steel construction load range F tire in 235/85R16. Looks like Sailun and Hercules are LR G. My trailer is only 12,000 GVWR.

12,000 GVWR minus the pin @2400 lbs+ means only 10,600 on the axles. Any E rated tire would be more than sufficient. G's are overkill but why not.

YUP have said this a thousand times and all I get is people wanting to push a
Communist Chinese product when a GY ENDURANCE tire with WAY more capacity than needed is available. US Made and a STELLAR record.

Endurance hasn't been around long enough to have a Stellar Record!
You also need to update your thinking, Sailun is the tire with the stellar record.
I recently read that Goodyear no longer has a tire to meet RVIA specifications for larger 5th wheels.
For some rigs Sailun has become the only game in town.

Well I agree, an E-rated tire is more than enough for OP's trailer. The Endurance is a good choice, as is the Provider, and also Carlisle HD.

However, the OP wants F-rated tires, his mind is made up! A friend used to say "then wipe a$$ me"? :B

Agree. Wasn't dissing the OP. I've gone the overkill route myself many times.
And my math was off. Only 9600 lbs on the axles.

  • FWIW, I've had several trailers with 6k axle and sometimes ran way overloaded at interstate speeds and never had a problem. I also used to go off-road in some rocky parts of the Az. Desert. My 7 y.o. Cooper Discoverer HT3s, their commercial LT, still look like new. The BFG commercial is also very popular. I always take my wheels to Discount and have them put on whatever they recommend for an LT. Craig

    YEP I sure did^^^^^^^

'F' Load Rating is quite sufficient for 12K GVWR trailer (10K +/- om axles)

Right 'E' could be used also

  • 12,000# GVWR then 'G' Load Rated Tires are MORE then sufficient

Going to 'F' Load Rating will not gain you anything because you will NOT be utilizing the full load capability of the 'F' tires

Sailun S637 model is a very good tire for your 12K trailer....and reasonably priced
