Just realize you are paying a premium for the service and the stores being in pretty much every town (at least here in Oregon). As for their service dropping, I've actually seen it the other way around. You're hard pressed to park and get your engine turned off before someone is running out of the service bay to help you. At least that's what I get at the store down the street from where I live.
I completely agree if you like someone up your butt as soon as you exit your vehicle then Schwab is for you!!!
If you want quality tires and service I highly recommend you look somewhere else.
