Thanks for all the feedback guys. I will definitely grab one of those tongue weight scales. $130 isn't too bad if it'll help me solve my sway issues. https://www.sherlinedirect.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=169&CFID=58157506&CFTOKEN=40195950 Just need to decide if I need the 5k lb or if the 2k lb is enough.
I definitely am looking forward to trying these suggestions with the tire pressures, airbag pressures, tension on the blue ox system, and moving weight around. I think between the airbag & tire pressure plus the blue ox adjustment, I might get it under control. If it's still an issue, I'll play with the location of the cargo. Based on what 2500 Grunt said, adding a 1400 lb sand rail to the back of his 28FS did nothing to the tongue weight. I'm adding just at 1000 lbs in quads. The 200 lb dirt bike is over the axles. What kills me is I ran my old FK2100 weekend warrior with the same 600 lbs of quads behind the axle and it never phased it, loaded or unloaded. I could pull that thing at 80 mph with a 40 mph cross wind and it barely moved, with NO sway control system.
This trailer has a LOT of load forward of the axles. Both grey and black tanks are several feet forward, the onan 5500 is considerably forward, the front 80 gallon water tank is forward, all storage compartments are forward, ect. There's minimal components behind the axles except the double bunks, gas tanks, and cargo area.
