I'm going to the first round GNCC race this weekend which is near Palataka, FL, about 2 hours away. I am only taking the sport ATV and am dry camping so I'll have full water tanks. I should have my tongue weight scale here before I leave and will measure with this configuration and report back. Also hoping it will tow better with 850 lbs or so less cargo.
As for the hitch, this is the only one on the market that replaces the factory Dodge hitch. The install sounds intensive but it's not bad at all. Took me under 3 hours. http://www.amazon.com/Reese-Towpower-45299-Professional-Receiver/dp/B004R34GX8/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1425472339&sr=8-11&keywords=reese+2.5+hitch+dodge+ram
I really wasn't comfortable towing a trailer that some have measured north of 2000 lbs of tongue weight with using the factory 12,000/1,200 lb rated hitch. This Reese is rated at 18,0000/2,000.
The storage is wild! I used to have to keep my grill, chairs, patio mat, broom, trash can, race gear bag, ect, all inside my weekend warrior and move it outside when getting to my destination. I also kept a bunch of stuff in the bed of my truck that I needed for the quads like tools which now go in the storage bins. That was one of the reasons I went with the Amped 28FS. It does have a lower hanging sewer drain pipe that others have mentioned is an issue. It's no worse than my weekend warrior was so I don't mind it. The front is lower than most but not too low and since the trailer is built above the axles so there's no wheel wells inside, the back two thirds of the trailer is quite high.
