The total weight of my trailer is 10,840 lbs with both quads loaded, full propane tanks, 15 gallons of fuel in the generator tank and some minor cargo. The fresh water tank is empty. If I am doing the calculations right, this would mean a tongue weight of 1150 lbs divided by the total weight of the vehicle 10,840 lbs would give a tongue weight percentage of 10.6%. This seems low. I confirmed my tongue weights with my Sherline Tongue Weight Scale with the trailer on level ground and the hitch in a level position.
