I have the rail mount version but I don't have the factory puck system in my truck, so I either had to install rails or a gooseneck ball and I felt the rails were a more solid setup. Obviously in my case the rails stay installed full time.
If I were in your shoes I'd either use the rail mount Andersen with a picture frame adapter or one of the hitches designed to drop right into the pucks. I think that's a more solid connection than you'd get with a gooseneck mounted hitch, Andersen or otherwise. I personally prefer the ball style Andersen connection with the trailer to a standard fifth wheel hitch so that would be my inclination, but your mileage may vary.
