Yeah - long bed truck and rotating the block to the rear seems to line up the kingpin over the axle a little better. I originally had the block with the socket to the front and yes, it was easier to gauge the for/aft alignment that way but I felt like it put the kingpin a little too far aft for my liking.. This way the kingpin is directly over the gooseneck ball.
I still haven't decided where to put the pull handle. I don't really want to screw it up thru the bottom of the skirting, so right now it's just clamped to the kingpin. I'm thinking I'm going to screw it down right there. With the coupler block flipped around, I have less cable slack to pull the handle around behind and further outboard.
