I originally had the block with the socket to the front and yes, it was easier to gauge the for/aft alignment that way but I felt like it put the kingpin a little too far aft for my liking.. I still haven't decided where to put the pull handle. I don't really want to screw it up thru the bottom of the skirting, so right now it's just clamped to the kingpin. I'm thinking I'm going to screw it down right there. With the coupler block flipped around, I have less cable slack to pull the handle around behind and further outboard.
Put it where it won't ever come in contact with the truck bed. Mine ended up in a location that given the right angle and turn, it can bump the side of the bed. I need to move it.
