Another Air Conditioner Question

The air diverter panel in my Coleman Air Conditioner keeps falling over and blocking the return air side of the unit. Does that thing need to be free in there or can it be attached with tape or something to keep it from falling over during travel? Anyone had this issue?
Thanks
Tony
  • I taped mine up after switching out the 13.5 for th 15,000 BTU version. The biggest reason I did was because there were too many gaps letting the cold air suck back into the return and never reaching the duct work. It was just recirculating, already cold air. I used aluminum tape used for water heater and furnace flue's. The stuff will never come loose. And by the way, it made all the difference in the performance and cooling of the rest of the camper too.
  • I use a totally recyclable clasp that now devertor stays where I want it. Better known as a Clothes pin.
