2014 Jayco 5th wheel 3rd season. Blew @ 55 mph like a cannon. Air checked before each trip and during each trip. TPMS which went off immediately. Off road quickly, no damage. Tire has 2 blow out holes...

Our education on towable RV tires started with the first trip with our first RV. Then the first trip with our 2nd. At that point each RV we purchased got a new set of tires before the first trip. Checking the cost of the OE tires, there is about $400-500 worth of tires (two axles)with stories of failures (and no failures) between an RV that cost SEVERAL thousand dollars and the road. And the quality of the road is not good in many, many areas of this great continent. The choice to install a quality tire on our RV was a result of experiences. I suppose if we had no tire issues previously, we may still be on the OE tires.
Towable RV tire choices have improved over the years and there are several that have high praises. Remember, quality does not come cheap.
