I went over 6 years and about 12,000 miles on a set of "Blow Max" tires on my old trailer. I would buy them again.
Having said that, when I replaced those tires I went with Maxis. Then, a month later, we sold that trailer and bought our current 5'er.
The new 5'er came with LR E "Blow Max" tires that are date coded 2314. I feel very confident that I will get 5 more years out of these tires.
There is a big difference in using 4 tires rated for >14k capacity on a 12k GVWR trailer and using them on a 16k GVWR trailer. Most of the problems I have seen were when they were run close to max. You may be lucky.
The ones I bought for the 9200 GVWR trailer were LR D. 8 ply Rated at 2540 Lbs at 65 PSI.
The ones that came on the 12,500 GVWR 5er are LR E. 10 ply rated at 3640 Lbs at 80 PSI.
It is my opinion that the consumer of these products need to educate themselves better about the capabilities of the components instead of just complaining when marginal components that were installed fail.
