Hello All,
My wife and I are wanting to make the move from a TT to a 5'er. We have found one we like and I think I'm in my limits with my truck, but I would like a second opinion from the forum. Here are the details on the truck and Fifth Wheel
Truck
2016 F-250 crew cab 4x4 Standard bed 6.2L gas.(I know a gasser:)
373 rear end. Yellow sticker reads 2924 max payload.
Completely stock no add-on's at this time.
Fifth Wheel
Keystone 2016 293FWBHS
Shipping weight 9845
Pin weight 1965
Payload 2855. (Which I guarantee we will never reach)
Am I good or way off base?
Of course Trailer Life ignores GVWR, rear axle GAWR and the weight of passengers, cargo, hitch, etc. They just perpetuate the myth of the "trailer tow rating" as the be-all and end-all.
