Another tire story

It happened today with my Goodyear G614 a blowout but without any trailer damage. Speed was around 55-60 and soon as it popped I pulled off the highway. My tires were dated 26 week of 08 making them 5 years 2 months old but installed age was 4 years and 11 months. What will Goodyear do towards helping me with a new set of tires if anything? Where are we getting the best deal on G614 or Michrlin tires, probably ordering them off line? Thanks for your input.

  • I know that Goodyear will tell me what they will do and I will call them tomorrow. I was hoping to find out what they had done for previous problems and what to ask for. It is better to know what they have did in the past and then I would know what to ask for such as a complete new set of tires or just replace the blown one. Thanks.
  • Did you register them when purchased? I don't know what the warranty life of the G614's is, but you were probably close to the end. Ours were 4607, we just replaced them at $1545.00 for four R&R new valve stems, disposal fee, tax. Ours were on the trailer when we brought it and we put 21,000 them in the last 3 1/2 years.
  • Sounds like you need a response from GY.

Like in the manyyyyy other threads on tires they have a pretty good warranty.

Good luck and glad you didn't have any rig damage.
