Any 5ers with twin beds up front?

Been looking at 5ers between 26-29 feet. Out of the 20 or so I have seen, I found one 2003 Wildowood 27RLSS with twins up front. Ready to purchase tonight, called seller and it sold earlier today :(

Reason for wanting twins? My 15yo DS and I each sleep in one and wife and 10yo DS can sleep in fold out couch. This works for us so we can keep size down to 26-29 feet. We like the Rear Living room for the large rear windows and larger living space.

However, with no twins, my 15yo DS and I would have too share a queen and we are both 6' and I am 280# and he is 130#. By morning, I would own 70% of bed and he would end up with 30%!!!!

My thoughts are that that finding a used 26-29 5er with twin beds in lieu of a queen is going to very difficult.

Are there new ones with these twins up front?
  • Here is the type of queen that I was referring to that could be taken out and replaced with two twins....

  • I've always liked the concept of two twins you see opinion many Airstreams. For the idea of sealing the back of a toy hauler I have a friend who 10 years ago installed a ticks and bricks sliding glass door then used the ramp as a deck. Now the deck is seen in many, guess my friend was ahead of the curve.
  • I'm thinking that a convert to twins may not be that difficult. As long as there are no tanks or ducting under queen, all else is fairly simple..... removal of wood bed frame for queen and building frames for twins. i'm looking at 27' from early 2000s that do not have standing floor to ceiling wardrobes on front sides of queen. The ones I am considering have overhead storage but no wardrobes to sides of queen. There are night stands on each side of queen, but I don't think they should be too much trouble to remove.

Any other barriers I'm not considering?

Good question I have been looking forever for a FW with twins up front. If you find a new one a Company Manufacturer's send me a PM please.
  • Why not a small toyhauler with fold-down beds in the garage area? Could seal the rear door and decorate the garage.

  • Can you take a layout with a queen bed and rebuild it into twin beds? I'm not very handy, but I'm pretty sure I'd be able to accomplish it. It'd be ugly, but functional. :)
  • actually want twins, side be side, with center nightstand...not bunks
  • Found it, it's a Wildcat 32QBBS. They made them for several years. Good luck.
  • I was looking at a late 2000's Wildcat that front bunks with a rear queen and half bath. It was a great set up but the dealer wanted too much and it needed work. I liked the floorplan. I tried looking for the model number but can't find it. Try Google.
