Any ideas on how to free a rusted ball on B&W hitch?

Hey everyone, I finally concluded I have the B&W turn over ball hitch in the new to me truck I purchased. But the ball is rusted in the socket pretty good (or bad)...not sure when and if ever anyon...

Heat the socket (female part of hitch) and keep heat to the ball to a minimum. As it cools apply the penetrating oil liberally and as it cools it will be drawn in. If you get no results then weld a loop on the ball base and build a lever to attach to it and block one side then put a hydraulic jack on the other and jack against the bed a frame. Then jar it as you jack with a hammer.
