Welcome Bob, Take your time and enjoy the search. For you and Pilotbiker, trying to make this decision (a very heavy one) and then going to the next step: it was really useful for us to see the unit with all slides IN. It answered a lot of questions about "why the manf put this there or why this is cut at this angle".
We bought from 4 Seasons Abilene, KS. (150 miles from home) We had been searching for about 2+ years for just the right one for us. No dealers in the KC area even mentioned the Mountaineer 347HTH. Our search took us to Abilene and the sales manager had purchased a 2009 for his personal use and he invited us out for a grand tour. It was love at first sight-----if you can love a "thing". I inquired with other Montana dealers and none had one in stock. I wasn't going to buy without sitting at the table, on the chairs, sofa, stretch out on the mattress. Fit and finish has more to do with us than mechanics of the unit. But it really fit us.
