Thanks for the information on the closet. I will pass this along tonight. It appeared fine to me and much larger than either of our previous RVs.
We've had a motorhome with a generator and a tow trailer without one in the past. We weighed the pros and cons of not having the generator but it's really something we feel we'll use. It's exceptionally hot(105f+ is not uncommon)in the central valleys of California from about April through September. The problem is one has to travel through these areas to get anywhere interesting or across the Nevada desert. There are also several dry coastal sites we'd like to utilize. We considered the portable units and I guess after years of doing without certain amenities I'm ready to have it my way. I understand you can remote start the Onan from the tow vehcile say 15 minutes before you get to a rest area to cool it down. Often our tow trailer was too hot to use in these circumstances for lunch or naps.
Any thoughts on the king bed versus the queen?
We'd like to take a run at Alaska in 2013 but many have told us motorhomes and trailers get pretty beat up along the way. I looked into the Marine Highway option at least for one way but we might as well take a luxury cruise for what that runs these days.
My F250 has the 6.5 foot bed. Ford says I need a slider hitch but others have said to get a "Fifth Airborne air-ride "Sidewinder" pinbox" and a regular 5th hitch. Thoughts?
Thanks to all for letting me pick your brains!
