Something new. So, during a recent trip we arrived home and park the rig in front of the house for unloading before storage. My wife opens the slides and notices a penny size gouge in the floor about 18 inches in front of the refrigerator. "Looks" like a stone has gotten under the slide out. My wife cannot believe this because she is always concerned about sweeping the floor near the slide out tracks before we close it for this very reason. Turns out it's one of those wooden finishing plugs from the side of a dinette chair! Popped out and must have been rolling around on the floor eventually getting caught during slide operation. Same color as floor too. Arghhh! Put the plug back in the chair then pounded it in good with a rubber mallet as far as it would go. Then did all the other plugs on all the other chairs just for good measure. Fortunately, there was no floor material damaged just a half moon cut in the flooring. I used a heat gun to stretch the little scrunched up tab out straight and lined it up for a precision gluing. Then used linoleum low gloss seam sealer on the cut seal area and viola! You have to get down on your hands and knees with a flashlight to find it! The lesson is beware of those finishing plugs if you have the free standing dinette.
