No comment on the cloth furniture, but if you are considering a new 5er with opposing slides in the living area, take a look at the front living room models before you settle on a rear living room models.
Our Montana has the front living room (upper floor), kitchen in the middle, and bedroom in the rear. The living room and kitchen are open, no full walls separating the upper area from the lower area. The difference in temperature (heat and air conditioning) is not an issue either. And if you purchase a model that has the front (nose cap) full window, with the opposing slides, you've got windows all directions.
Anyway, it's a floor plan to consider before settling on another rear living room model, at least take a look.
