I suggest that you remember that "Warranty" is just a mislabeled word for Insurance.
When you buy a Warranty you are buying insurance. You need to carefully read and understand the policy terms and provisions, understand the reliability of the issuing company, just as you should any insurance policy. Then consider if the cost is relative to the risk.
