NC Roamer,
What is spelled out as "lifetime"?
What inspections are mandatory?
Lifetime is defined to be as long as we own the motorhome and have the annual inspection done.
The Warranty Forever annual inspection list looks to be mostly things that ought to be done anyway. Granted I could do these but if it provides decent coverage for the cost of the inspection, then it might be worth it. After all, some RV buyers spend several thousand dollars for extended warranties which, as I understand it, run for about seven years.
As I noted, if the annual inspection charge is onerous, then I can just drop out of the program easily.
Notified our dealer that the DVD/CD player in the in-dash Clarion unit died. The replacement unit is in and I called today to schedule the swap. Told the service writer to also perform the annual Warranty Forever inspection and asked how much that would be. I was a bit surprised when she said, "There is no charge." She did add that, if any unwarrantable problem was uncovered, they'd contact me to discuss any fix and the cost for it. So far, so good.
