Anyone have a Bunk Model 5ver 30ft and under?

Been looking at toyhaulers and I just keep coming back to a regular fifth wheel because they look so much better inside. They just seem nicer to me. And at least the ones we look at are quite a bit cheaper than the toyhauler fifth wheels also. I'm particularly interested in Bunk models because we often want to sleep a few people besides the wife and I. Our kids enjoy going still and one day we hope to have grand kids to take out. We currently have a Class A bit are looking to trade it in on a new Bunk Model Fifth wheel. Hoping to stay under $35K. Hoping somebody here can give us a few ideas on some decent floor plans and and under budget. Let me know what you got and how you like it.

  • The selection of shorter BH 5ths is limited so we found a used 5th and took out the recliners and built 34" x 80" bunk beds across he back wall with black out curtains. The bottom bunk has storage drawers under it. Nothing is screwed to the walls so we can switch it back at later date.
  • They were only built in 2016 and 2017, there are still some on dealer lots, and you might be able to get a 2016 around 35k. The Lifestyle/Evergreen Bay View 374REBH and 375LBH. Good solid trailers with quite a bit of storage space, very open living room and an excellent mid bunk floor plan - best around if you ask me. We pretty much lived in ours with 3 dogs from June to November of last year and it still looks and smells brand new. A couple issues, the ones that were not my fault were taken care of under warranty even with Evergreen out of business. If you like the floor plan and can get one at 35k, thats about one of the best values around in my opinion . Especially if the dealer throws in an extraRide warranty.
  • I just bought a 2017 Jayco Eagle HT 30.5 MBOK. In fact I pick it up on Friday. New model with mid bunk room and rear living. It's bigger though, 36 feet overall and a bit more expensive.
  • mine is in that 30ft range more of or less and is a fantastic bunkhouse layout.

  • I love mine, although it's longer than 30' The front bunks are great because it's like the kids have their own wing and can do whatever they want up there. When shopping I looked at some mid-bunk models. They were a neat idea but seemed to really break up the middle of the camper.

Some models have main bed up front, bunks in the rear, and a 1/2 bath by the bunk area. You're getting into longer models for that feature, but it is kind of nice for the guests or kids to have their own toilet instead of invading the master bath area.

  • Look at the Jayco Eagle HT models. We went with the 29.5 BHDS, but there are several other bunkhouse floorplans in that model, including one with the bunks at the front, and another with living space in the back and a bunkhouse in the middle.
