Along the lines of what mustangglp was saying; for a 4 grand saving you could probably have some aftermarket protectant or sealant applied. We had light colored furniture material on our weekend warrior and it wasn't a huge deal at all to keep clean. White carpet...or carpet period, wouldn't want it.
