We use a Thermos Grill-2-Go, similar to:

We use the grill all the time. Being portable, we can move it under the awning in adverse weather, or move it to give us more room under the awning.
Our TT came with an outdoor propane grill that attached to the side of the camper... I tried for two seasons to use it, I was just never happy with it. This was 10 years ago, though, and I've seen some of the newer camper grills and they seem better.
I have not used an outdoor "stovetop" - but I would think it would be great for things like frying and boiling.
