- Big_KatunaExplorer III’ve used Tirerack.com for my last two sets of tires. Limited sizes on big tires.

thanks all for the replies, ordering new ones now, They have 20K on them and are five years old. They are on MORryde Independent Suspension system. Unfortunately my local Goodyear Rep doesn't return phone calls because I asked him for Manufacture dates on the tires he was going to order. Amazon actually has them $60 cheaper for each tire....
Thanks
And yet, how do you know the date coming from Amazon . You could possibly end up with a tire that is already a year or so old, or some vendor wanting to rid themselves of some older tires. No way I am ordering tires without knowing the date code . - fj12ryderExplorer III

You've seen the tires and I've only see a small photo, but I intend to run my "G" rated Sailuns for another couple seasons and another 10,000 miles or so. They are 5 years old and about 20,000 miles on them. - jts140Explorerthanks all for the replies, ordering new ones now, They have 20K on them and are five years old. Thanks - Cummins12V98Explorer IIISwitched from US GY "E" to the mentioned GY "G" tires, I ran 85psi for thousands of miles with no unusual edge wear. Tires wore evenly and rode well.
- Vette_RacerExplorerNormal wear for these tires, had two sets do exact same wear pattern, always run at 110 psi.

I think that's a bit of jumping to conclusions when the only thing you've seen is a badly taken photo. You can't base anything on the smooth tread that's visible because that is supposed to look like that.
The tires are wearing like that because you have an alignment issue. take it to an axle shop and have the wheel alignment checked.
They are either towed out or cambered in at the top causing the wear on the inside of the tire. - Retired_JSOExplorer IIOurs have less than 5,000 miles including dealer transit.

Five years is when my Goodyear blowed up. And it wasn’t the sidewall shredded failure but a single bullet hole blowout.
Road Hazard?
Ron, I know its hard for you to believe ,but those spotless record Goodyear G614's are STILL having their issues, thats apparent .
