Are 5th Wheelers easier to tow & best mfgrs
Probably a silly question but I'm assuming less sway issues with a 5th wheel? Was also wondering what the maximum size is to safely trailer with a 1/2 ton truck and are there some manufacturers/models...

5th wheel trailers pivot directly above the drive axle of the tow vehicle, travel trailers pivot 4-5 feet behind that point which completely changes the mechanical geometries. 5th wheel trailers have their axles 2/3 back from the pivot point. Travel trailers are closer to the 1/2 way point in the length of the house body. Even with weight distribution hitches and anti-sway control the geometry and mechanical disadvantage makes travel trailers harder to control when any sway develops from steering or wind input. The laws of physics over ride how people feel.
