This would imply that there is some type of special "federal" laws on the interstate highway system that applies to RV's. It doesn't matter if you are driving your RV on a dirt road, a county road, a state route, a U.S. route, or an interstate, that State's laws still apply.
RV's are not covered under Federal, or commercial carrier rules/regulations. Unless of course you are "for hire" and transporting them for a dealer/manufacturer.
