The early Open Range Trailers were lighter than the competition at the time. We have a 2009 385RLS it has 4 slides 385 sqft and comes in around 10,500 empty. At that time you could not get close to the quality of trailer and the space at that weight from anybody else. The biggest difference was the cable slide system that saved a lot of weight per slide.
