X2 on ReserveAmerica, just pull up a CG and look for open sites, we did the redwoods from the Portland area last fall and along the coast between OR and CA we had our pick of sites.

Went down to Benbo KOA and they had several to choose from, plus a golf course and a historic lodge, had a great couple of nights.
