Back in the old days, total quality management was a big thing but seems to have gone away. One aspect that was useful was a group of stake holders would work together to solve problems for manufacturers, users, maintenance mechanics, etc. and management. These groups kept each other updated on what was or wasn't working and potential solutions so there were no surprises.
Would it be possible for a couple of companies like Camping World and Keystone, for example, to start a design group for the purpose of building an RV design from scratch that would address many of the limitations of today's RVs? This new design once finished, could be made into a limited number of units to allow these same stake holders to use, repair and provide feedback for subtle changes before putting it into production. Has anyone seen something like this for RVs? Any thoughts on something like this?
