Atwood 10 Gallon Water Heater

I am having hot water issues. I have a brand new Coachman Chaparral. It has an Atwood 10 gallon water heater gas or electric. I went through all the steps, checking for air in the lines ny running the faucets inside and tripped the valve outside to make sure water came squirting out. I turned on the electric water heater switch inside the rv. I sat down to rest. After a little whileI got up and checked the water. It's not hot. The red light in the switch is still on. Can you help me troubleshoot?

    It may be a couple of things
    1. Is your water heater in bypass mode? If so take off bypass.
    2. Some water heaters have a safety switch on the water heater itself. Check to see that the switch is in the On position.
