Ok For your info. Dose any body know how an axle are rated >>>
The tubes are all the same size. The difference between a 5,000# and a 6,000 # axle is the composite of the brake shoes ( spindle, bearings are the same ) Same for 7,000 or 8,000 lbs. ( bearings spindles are the same ) Springs my very some . I was in the trailer manufacturing and repairing of trailers for 30 years. Dealers will the you any thing to sell you a trailer.
I have an 04 GMC 2500 HD pull a 38 ft. 5th wheel with 4 slides and have grossed 22,000# with 80 gals of fuel all axles were under there weight ratings . Truck steering axle was over by 150# till we burned of some fuel . This was weighted on certified scales .
I have replaced many axles from guys going up and down to Alaska > it hard on windshields < Axles< tires< springs < and rigs .
